The International Fair recently took place at the Catholic University in Chile in a festive atmosphere. The event aims at providing the student community with information on international exchanges, encouraging those interested in participating in an exchange to find out more about the over 300 UC partner universities abroad.
More than 200 students represented their universities, giving information to those who approached their stands.
As part of this activity, over 200 exchange students represented 117 of the 300 universities with which the UC has an agreement. They answered questions, queries and handed out information.
The Head of International Relations (DRAI) estimates that 3,000 people took part in the event: students as well as academics and UC authorities, including the Rector Ignacio Sánchez, the Pro-Rector Guillermo Marshall and the Vice Grand Chancellor Father Cristián Roncagliolo, among others.
The Director of the Head of International Relations, Fernando Alvarado, explains that the Fair constitutes an excellent opportunity for prospective exchange students to obtain personalized information about their destination. This concerns a large part of the community considering that “every year, almost 1,600 exchange students come to study at UC and 700 UC students go on exchange abroad.”
