Giving Day 2024
In 2023, Friends-UC launched a “Giving Day” campaign aimed at UC alumni in the United States, building on the initiative established by the University in 2022. This year, the event will take place on November 14, 15, and 16, under the slogan “Giving to Your Past – For their Tomorrow”.

Leading the Way Scholarship, a project promoted by Friends UC
The Leading the Way Program & Scholarships is a collaborattive effort between UC’s English Language Center andFriends of Catholic University in Chile, Inc. (Friends UC) that offers intensive English training to UC undergraduate students from vulnerable sectors of society, with a special focus on the American cultural context. The University is offering this training in cooperation with Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Endowment UC Fund
The UC Endowment Fund is a long-term financial instrument for the University, designed to support its future growth. It is a capital fund whose returns are dedicated to scholarships, research, and academic development. In this Campaign, all contributions will be directed to the UC Endowment Complementary Scholarship.
Girls to the Front: Leadership for Equity – Office of Student Affairs (DAE)

The Open University for Older Adults provides free educational activities for seniors in Chile, aiming to promote their inclusion in the academic field. Funds are needed to implement in-person activities in 2025, with the goal of creating a collaborative university environment for individuals of all ages
Maintenance scholarships for students – School of Communications
Although approximately 60% of our students receive some form of scholarship, benefit, or loan, those who barely exceed the threshold for these supports face very similar needs that are not covered by any form of assistance.
Fund to Finance the Thesis Projects – School of Communications
In contrast to regular courses in the programs, these projects typically involve high costs that students must pay out of pocket, as they are not covered by free tuition, the CAE, or any other forms of assistance.
