As part of the Board Meeting in October in New York, one important event was the Colloquium on Philanthropy, in which the Board Members and invited guests participated. The topics discussed were “How to foster a philanthropic culture among students and alumni at the UC” and “How to fundraise from American alumni”. The invited speakers included Michelle Yurko and Daniel V. Schidlow, from Drexel University, and Patrick O’Connell, from Columbia University, all recognized experts in philanthropy in higher education in the United States.
