Fernando Burgos

Fernando Burgos is a financial advisor in both the US and Chile, with a successful career in the banking industry in those countries. After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy located in Colorado, USA, majoring in Business and Economics, he returned to Chile, where he joined Banco Unido de Fomento in 1976 and, subsequently, Banco de Santiago, as Deputy Manager of the International Division. In 1985, he traveled to New York to become the Representative for the Bank until 1987, when he returned to Chile to join Banco O´Higgins as Head of the International Division. In 1995, Mr. Burgos entered Banco Osorno as Head of Investment Banking. Due to the sale of this institution to Banco Santander, he moved to Banco Concepción, which later on changed name to CorpBanca. In the latter, he held positions such as Head of the International Division, member of the Board of CorpBanca Venezuela until its sale in 2006, and CEO and General Manager of CorpBanca, New York Branch, retiring at the end of 2017. He is a Board member of the United States-Chile Chamber of Commerce as well as Board Member at the Gabriela Mistral Foundation in New York.
